Abstract

ABSTRACT Karaopa Irrigation Area is an Irrigation Area that utilizes Karaopa river water through the Karaopa Dam with an area of 2791 ha and a potential area of 3621 ha. Karaopa Irrigation Area serves irrigation water needs in several villages in the Bumi Raya District, Morowali Regency. Water availability is very influential on water needs in managing agricultural land and during the growth of plants. Therefore, to maximize the available water, it is needed an allocation of availability and water needs in the agricultural sector to support the irrigation area's water needs. This study aims to evaluate the allocation of water needs (Debit Needs) of the Karaopa Irrigation Area to the availability of water (mainstay discharge). Mainstay discharge is calculated based on rainfall from Ungkaya Station using the F.J Mock method. From the results of the analysis obtained the average mainstay discharge for the period 2008 - 2017 amounted to 2.55 m d / sec, maximum Q (max) 3.70 m³ / sec, minimum Q (min) 1.83 m d / sec and Q greatest needs is 2.87 m³ / sec. So it can be concluded that the availability of available water allocation is not enough to irrigate the irrigation area so that optimal water allocation planning must be done. Keywords: Karaopa Irrigation, Available Discharge, Water Needs, F.J MOCK, Water Allocation.
