Abstract

ABSTRACT There are several factors that affect growth in toddlers, one of which is the lack of nutritional intake in children, where many children are not growing well. One of the obstacles to this growth is the lack of good nutrition, causing the stunting rate in Indonesia to increase every year. If the child cannot be treated early, the child will experience failure to thrive, thus disrupting the growth and development of the child's brain and physically. This factor is caused by the lack of experts or experts in their fields. Therefore, an expert system for identification of nutritional status according to anthropometry was made in toddlers. The method used in this study is the forward chaining method. Implemented in the expert system for identifying nutritional status according to anthropometry in children under five years, this system can diagnose nutritional status based on symptoms and weight on the inputted height. The system will diagnose and produce a diagnosis result with a percentage of one hundred percent if all the symptoms are met, Based on the results of accuracy testing and the black box system got a percentage of 97% so it can be concluded that this system is good for diagnosing nutritional status.
