Abstract

ABSTRACT Assistance of Poor Student (BSM) is assistance from the government gives money to the students directly in accordance with the criteria has been determined, in accordance with Government Regulation No. 20 of 2003 National Education System Article 11 paragraph (1) Concerning equal distribution of opportunities for education, quality of education and support for dropout rates higher education and the equivalent of giving more great attention for the poor population. SMA Negeri 2 Palu is one of the institutions the school organizes selection activities to select prospective recipients BSM. The selection process is carried out so that the recipient of this BSM receives students who are truly entitled and right on target. Decision support system (SPK) is a system that is able to provide solving capabilities problems, decision support systems to provide information to users to be able to make good decisions. System Decision support in this study using the Weighted Product method (WP) which is one method of making decisions that uses attribute to connect the attribute value (criteria), where the value of each attribute (criteria) must be raised first with the weight of the attribute (criteria) that won. The final results in this study are the results of calculations using the method Weighted Product (WP) that has been sorted from the highest value to the value that is the cheapest in SMA Negeri 2 Palu the decision to approve the provision of BSM (Poor Student Assistance) by seeing results of the order.
