Analisis Tingkat Kebakaran Hutan Dan Lahan Menggunakan Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR) Pada Citra Landsat 9 OLI Di Desa Kalimago Kabupaten Poso.

This study aims to analyze the severity of forest and land fires (Karhutla) using the Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR) method based on Landsat 9 OLI satellite imagery in Kalimago Village, Poso Regency. The study area is adjacent to the working area of Unit X KPH Sintuvu Maroso, Central Sulawesi. The primary objective is to spatially map fire severity levels to provide a baseline for disaster mitigation and post-fire rehabilitation. The research was conducted from January to March 2025, utilizing a descriptive quantitative method that integrates spatial data (satellite imagery and thematic maps) with non-spatial data (literature and field observations).

The analytical process involved radiometric correction, area masking, and the calculation of NBR indices for both pre-fire and post-fire periods. The Difference Normalized Burn Ratio (dNBR) was subsequently calculated to classify fire severity. Three threshold models based on the mean and standard deviation of dNBR values were employed to identify burned areas.

The results indicate a significant decrease in NBR values in the Kalimago region following the fire, with the highest dNBR value reaching 0.61749, signifying substantial vegetation damage. The classification model using the mean threshold yielded the highest accuracy at 73.75% and was determined to be the most representative model. These findings confirm that the NBR method applied to Landsat 9 imagery is effective for identifying and spatially mapping fire severity in Indonesia's tropical forest regions.
