INTERVENSI TERAPI KOMPRES AIR HANGAT JAHE UNTUK MENGURANGI NYERI PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS BULILI

Background: Hypertension is one of the public health problems with high
prevalence in Indonesia and is the main risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
People with hypertension often experience complaints of headaches, which can
affect their quality of life. Non-pharmacological treatments such as ginger warm
water compresses have been proven to have analgesic and vasodilating effects so
that they can reduce the intensity of pain. Objective: This study aims to determine
the effectiveness of ginger warm water compress therapy in reducing the intensity
of headaches in hypertensive patients. Methods: This study used a descriptive
design with a pre-test and post-test approach to explore nursing care through the
provision of ginger warm water compress therapy intervention by comparing the
conditions before and after the intervention was carried out. Results: Results
showed that after the intervention of ginger warm water compress therapy in cases
of hypertension, there was a decrease in pain in the head, hand, and neck of the
client. Conclusion: The administration of ginger warm water compress therapy
intervention can reduce the scale of pain in hypertensive patients.
