Aktivitas Inbound Logistics, Conversion Operations, Dan Outbond Logistics Pada Kaledo Instan Kota Palu

This study aims to describe and analyze the inbound logistics, conversion
operations, and outbound logistics activities at Kaledo Instan, an SME in Palu
City. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection
techniques such as observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to gain a
comprehensive understanding of the logistics and production processes. The results
of the study indicate that inbound logistics activities rely on the supply of local raw

materials through online ordering, on-site quality inspections, and self-
transportation using private vehicles. Regarding conversion operations, the

production process employs a make-to-order system with stages including
preparation, cleaning, boiling, pressure cooking, steaming, drying, cooling, and
packaging. In the outbound logistics segment, Kaledo Instan implements a direct
distribution system without the involvement of third-party logistics providers. The
main challenge faced is limited human resources, which impacts production capacity
and operational efficiency. This study recommends optimizing production schedules,
expanding the distribution network through strategic partnerships, and increasing
the workforce to enhance capacity and operational sustainability.
