IMPLEMENTASI PENGGUNAAN MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN KECERDASAN MUSIKAL SISWA DI KELAS V SD IMANUEL PALU

Audiovisual media holds significant potential for developing musical intelligence in
elementary school students; however, its systematic implementation in regional Indonesian
schools, particularly in Central Sulawesi,remains underexplored. This descriptive qualitative
study was conducted at SD Imanuel Palu over three weeks during the 2025/2026 academic
year. Participants comprised the SBdP teacher and Grade V students, selected through
purposive sampling. Data were collected via structured observation, semi-structured
interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model.
Audiovisual media was implemented strategically across six dimensions of classroom
practice. Observable development occurred across three musical intelligence dimensions:
rhythmic ability, melodic imitation, and creative musical expression. Creative output was
most pronounced in performance-framed rather than evaluation-framed activities.
Supporting factors included functional technology infrastructure, institutional autonomy, and
teacher digital competence; student ability heterogeneity and device setup time were the
primary inhibiting factors. The findings align with Mayer's Cognitive Theory of Multimedia
Leaming and Gardner's multiple intelligences framework, demonstrating that
implementation quality- not merely media availability - mediates musical leaning
outcomes. Affective framing emerged as a novel mediating variable in creative intelligence development.
