Abstract

The more modern times, the more diseases that arise due to human lifestyle and
bacterial transmission. Gastritis is an inflammation of the gastric mucosa that results
in swelling of the gastric mucosa, causing digestive tract disorders. The purpose of
this study was to determine the role of Diet, Stress and Smoking Habits with
Gastritis Disease. This study is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design.
The population of this study were all adolescents recorded in the Parigi Health
Center Working Area of Parigi Moutong Regency in 2025 with a total of 695 with
318 cases of gastritis. The sample size of this study consisted of 279 using Chi
square test analysis with a confidence value of 95%. The research was conducted on
April 20 - May 20, 2025 in the Parigi Health Center Working Area of Parigi
Moutong Regency. The results of this study showed that there was a significant
relationship, namely diet (p=0.000 OR: 3.798), stress (p=0.040 OR: 0.576), and
smoking (p=0.001 OR: 2.348) to gastritis disease in the Parigi Health Center
Working Area of Parigi Moutong Regency.The suggestion from this study is the
need for health center officers to provide education through counseling or
socialization to adolescents about a good diet, how to deal with stress and
assertiveness to traders regarding the prohibition of selling cigarettes to minors in
order to prevent / avoid gastritis disease
