IMPLEMENTASI DIMENSI KEMANDIRIAN DALAM PROFIL LULUSAN SEBAGAI UPAYA PENGUATAN KARAKTER DISIPLIN SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 2 PALU

This study aims to (1) analyze the implementation of the independence dimension in the graduate profile as an effort to strengthen students' disciplinary character at SMP Negeri 2 Palu, and (2) describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in this implementation. The orientation of the Graduate Competency Standards (SKL) based on Ministerial Regulation (Permendikdasmen) Number 10 of 2025 demands the formation of a holistic learning ecosystem, in which independence is positioned as a key pivot of students' self-regulation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal, the Civic Education (PPKn) teacher acting as homeroom teacher, and students, supported by observation and documentation. The results show that the implementation of the independence dimension at SMP Negeri 2 Palu is realized through school policies, classroom learning processes, and cooperation with parents. The school implements time-related rules and daily duty assignments to train students' sense of responsibility directly. At the same time, teachers provide independent assignments, group discussions, and classroom presentations to build students' awareness of learning. This discipline formation is reinforced through habituation, teachers' exemplary conduct, and consistent enforcement of school rules, allowing students' disciplinary character to grow based on self-awareness. The success of this implementation is supported by internal and external factors, rooted in the school's commitment through firm rules, the active role of teachers as the main drivers in the classroom, and parental support as an important bridge at home. However, the school faces several obstacles in implementation, including differences in students' character and background, uneven levels of self-awareness, peer influence, and a lack of alignment in habituation between school and home.
