TOLERANSI MASYARAKAT PADA RAGAM AGAMA DI DESA SAUSU TRANS KECAMATAN SAUSU KABUPATEN PARIGI MOUTONG

This study aims to (1) describe community tolerance towards religious diversity in Sausu Trans Village, Sausu District, Parigi Moutong Regency, and (2) describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in maintaining community tolerance towards religious diversity in Sausu Trans Village, Sausu District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study consisted of seven individuals: the Village Head, four religious leaders, and three community members. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, which served as the basis for addressing the research problem.
Based on the findings, this study concludes that: (1) Community tolerance in Sausu Trans Village, Sausu District, Parigi Moutong Regency is classified as good, reflected in a harmonious, peaceful, and cohesive social life. This is evident in attitudes of mutual respect, appreciation of religious differences, social cooperation, and the absence of discriminatory treatment within community life. (2) The factors supporting community tolerance towards diversity in Sausu Trans Village, Sausu District, Parigi Moutong Regency include mutual respect, openness, awareness of coexistence, and social solidarity. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors include a lack of understanding, excessive fanaticism, negative prejudice, limited interaction, and the spread of provocative information.
