Results of a survey conducted by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) in 2022
among the workforce in the United Kingdom. In 2021 , the number ofcases ofwork
related stress, depression, and anxiety was 914,000, with a prevalence of 2, 750 per
100, 000 workers. The objective of this study is to identify the factors influencing
work-related stress among teachers and educational staff at SMAS Y PST PORAME.
The resea,'vh design employed in this study utilized an analytical survey method
with a cross-sectional approach, employing total sampling to obtain a sample size
of 32 respondents comprising all teachers and educational staff The results
indicate a significant association between years of service and work-Wlated stress
(p — 0.044) and a significant association between workload and work-Wlated stress
(p — 0.024). However, there was no significant association between lighting
conditions and work-related stress (p = I. 000). It is 'ecommended that SMAS Y PST
Porame reduce the psychosocial workload of teachers and educational staff (GTK)
by developing an integrated SOP for handling student absences (involving
guidance counselors and student affairs staff) to alleviate the administrative
demands of accreditation. Additionally, the school needs to optimize peer-support
programs for civil servants with less than 20 years of service, as well as maintain
room lighting quality in accordance with occupational safety and health (OHS)
standards to ensure physical comfort at work
