This study aims to determine the amount of added value and profits obtained from patchouli processing activities into essential oils in Oncone Raya Village, South Tinombo District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a case study approach. The research was conducted on two patchouli refining business units, namely Usaha Asri and Usaha Ahmad Nazar, with a saturated sample determination technique. The data used consisted of primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and other supporting sources. The value-added analysis used the Hayami Method, while the business profit was calculated based on the difference between the total revenue and the total production cost (TR-TC) in one production process. The results showed that the processing of patchouli into essential oil in both business units produced positive added value. Usaha Asri obtained an added value of IDR 11,491.90 per kg of raw materials with an added value ratio of 54.72 percent, while Usaha Ahmad Nazar obtained an added value of IDR 14,533.90 per kg of raw materials with an added value ratio of 62.92 percent. Based on profit analysis, Usaha Asri obtained a profit of IDR 5,245,947.86 per process, while Usaha Ahmad Nazar obtained a profit of IDR 6,866,951.56 per process. The difference in added value and profit is influenced by conversion factors, the price of raw materials, the amount of oil produced, the use of labor, and the efficiency of the use of production factors. The implications of the study show that patchouli refining activities are able to increase the economic value of raw materials and provide benefits for business actors, thus potentially supporting an increase in income and the local economy. However, the results of these profits are conditions at the time of the study and cannot be generalized as profits that are always obtained in each production period. During the study, the selling price of patchouli oil was relatively stable, the availability of raw materials was relatively supportive, and weather conditions allowed production activities to run well. The limitation of this study is that it only covers two business units and the profit calculation is based on one production process, so it does not describe the change in profits if there are fluctuations in the price of patchouli oil, limited raw materials, or less favorable weather conditions.
