INTERAKSI MASYARAKAT TERHADAP SUMBERDAYA HUTAN ADAT MARENA KECAMATAN KULAWI KABUPATEN SIGI

The interaction of the community with forest areas is reflected in community activities such as collecting forest products in the form of food, fuel wood, tubers and other forest services. This study describes the form of community interaction with customary forest resources in Marena Village, Kulawi District, Sigi Regency. Determination of respondents using purposive sampling method that is done deliberately. Methods of data collection using primary data and secondary data with data collection techniques to do observation, interviews, and documentation. Interaction pattern data obtained from interviews and questionnaires were analyzed using tabulation and descriptive analysis. The results of the study revealed that community interactions with forest resources in Marena village can be grouped based on the form of land use. The interaction of the Marena customary community in the use of forest resources is regulated by a zoning system established by the customary community. The benefits of zoning in the Marena customary forest area are to provide clear knowledge of management area boundaries and prevent excessive forest management, because each zoning has been divided according to its functions and uses.
