A STUDY OF NEWSPAPER AS LEARNING MEDIA IN TEACHING READING SKILL A BASED ON LIBRARY RESEARCH TENTH-GRADE STUDENTS OF SMA NEGERI 3 PALU

Under the supervisor of Mukrim and Anjar Kusuma Dewi.The objectives of this research analyze the use of newspaper as learning media in teaching reading skill as documented by previous research conducted from 2018-2022. Data were collected from four articles reviewed taken from journal articles. To get the articles, the researcher used a google search to find it. Data were then analyzed by looking at the description that could answer the research question. From analysis, it was found the use of newspapers (printed or online) can be used to teach reading as it provides interesting features and topics that motivate students to read. In addition, teachers can use three stages in teaching it: pre-reading activities, while reading activities, and post- reading activities.
