ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMENGARUHI KEPUTUSAN PETANI TANAMAN HORTIKULTURA DALAM PENGGUNAAN PUPUK SUBSIDI DAN NON SUBSIDI DI KECAMATAN TATANGA KOTA PALU

ABSTRACT
This study aims to determine the factors that influence the decisions of horticultural crop farmers in
the use of subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers in Tatanga District, Palu City, which is the sub-
district with the highest fertilizer needs in Palu City. This study uses a quantitative approach with a
sample of 57 respondents consisting of 29 farmers who use subsidized fertilizers and 28 farmers who
use non-subsidized fertilizers. The research was conducted using a non-probability sampling method
due to the fact that the size of each population to be studied is not known for certain. Based on the
analysis using binary logistic regression analysis shows that the regression model in this study is
feasible, there is a simultaneous influence between the independent variables (land area, income,
distribution, and product quality) on the dependent variable (farmers' decision to use subsidized and
non-subsidized fertilizers). , then the variables of land area, income, and product quality affect the
decisions of horticultural plant farmers in the use of subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers, while
the distribution variable does not affect the decisions of horticultural plant farmers in the use of
subsidized and non-subsidized fertilizers.

ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan petani
tanaman hortikultura dalam penggunaan pupuk subsidi dan non subsidi di Kecamatan Tatanga Kota
Palu yang merupakan kecamatan dengan kebutuhan pupuk tertinggi di Kota Palu. Penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah sampel 57 responden yang terdiri atas 29 orang
petani yang menggunakan pupuk subsidi dan 28 orang petani yang menggunakan pupuk non subsidi.
Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode sampling non probability yang disebabkan oleh
besarnya masing-masing populasi yang akan diteliti tidak diketahui secara pasti. Berdasarkan analisis
dengan menggunakan analisis regresi logistik biner menunjukkan bahwa model regresi dalam
penelitian ini layak, terdapat pengaruh secara simultan antara variabel bebas (luas lahan, pendapatan,
distribusi, dan kualitas produk) terhadap variabel terikat (keputusan petani dalam menggunakan
pupuk subsidi dan non subsidi), kemudian variabel luas lahan, pendapatan, dan kualitas produk
mempengaruhi keputusan petani tanaman hortikultura dalam penggunaan pupuk subsidi dan non
subsidi, sedangkan variabel distribusi tidak berpengaruh terhadap keputusan petani tanaman
hortikultura dalam penggunaan pupuk subsidi dan non subsidi.
