ANALISIS FITOKIMIA DAN UJI AKTIVITAS ANTIOKSIDAN EKSTRAK DAUN AKAR KUNING (Arcangelisia Flava (L.) Merr) DARI DESA KAPIROE KECAMATAN PALOLO KABUPATEN SIGI PROVINSI SULAWESI TENGAH

Yellow Root Plant (Arcangelisia flava (L.) Merr) is a plant that has many benefits, and is used by the community as traditional medicine. In Central Sulawesi, this yellow root plant can be found in various places, one of which is in Kapiroe Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The purpose of this study was to analyze phytochemical compounds and to see the antioxidant content of yellow root leaf extract (Arcangelisia flava (L.) Merr).This research was conducted from March to April 2021 at the Research Laboratory of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Tadulako University. The purpose of this study was to determine the content of secondary metabolite compounds from yellow root leaf extract. The extraction method in this study used maceration with ethanol as a solvent. The extract obtained was then analyzed through several tests, namely the test for alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, steroids, terpenoids, and carotenoids. The activity test was determined using the DPPH method with a UV spectophotometer at an absorbance of 517 nm wavelength.The results showed that the air content of the yellow root leaf samples was 14%. The results of the phytochemical analysis of the ethanol extract of the yellow root leaves showed positive results containing flavonoids, tannins, and steroids. The results of the activity test showed the IC50 results of 63,269 ppm were included in the strong antioxidant group.
