ANALISIS KEERATAN HUBUNGAN DALAM PENENTUAN KARAKTER SELEKSI BEBERAPA KULTIVAR PADI GOGO (Oryza Sativa L.) LOKAL

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a very important food plant in Indonesia because it is a staple food and its availability must be fulfilled throughout the year. The formation of superior plant varieties can be done by crossing methods followed by selection. Correlation is used to determine the closeness of the relationship between properties in a plant. This study aims to examine indicators in determining the selection criteria based on improving the characteristics of superior upland rice cultivars. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) with six cultivars, namely K1 = Dongan, K2 = UNTAD I, K3 = UNTAD II, K4 = UNTAD III, K5 = Jahara, and K6 = Pulu tauleru which were repeated five times to obtain 24 plots. experiment, where each experimental plot contained 28 clumps with a total of 672 clumps. The results showed the highest direct effect, namely the amount of permalai grain on the production of tonnes / ha, this trait can be used as a reference in selecting the ton / ha production. The direct selection process will be effective in determining the characteristics of the ton / ha production if we use the properties of the number of unhulled grains.
