Analisis Kesalahan Yang Dilakukan Oleh Siswa SMP Negeri 15 Sigi Dalam Menulis Teks Deskriptif

English Wducation Study Program, Language and Art Education Departemet, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, Tadulako University, Under the supervision Hasan Basri and Afrillia.
This research aims to find out types of errors in writing text of eight grade students of SMP Negeri 15 Sigi. The research design was descriptive qualitative. The participants were 15 students. The data were analyzed by using Dulay’s surface taxonomy strategy. The result shows that 4 types of errors were found, namely 50?dition, 21,8% misformation, 15,6% misordering and 12,5% omission. The most frequent errors was addition. It is found 16 times in the test. The implication of this research is that sentence structure needs to be studied during writing lessons to make a correct sentence.
