Analisis Kesulitan Siswa Menulis Teks Deskriptif Di MTS WanaMukti Kabupaten Parigi Moutong Sulawesi Tengah

ABSTRACT
NUSROTUL LAILI (A 121 17 106). This skripsi is entitled “An analysis of
students? difficulties in writing descriptive text at MTs Wanamukti Parigi
Moutong district Central Sulawesi”. Skripsi, English Education Study Program,
Language and Art Education Department, Teacher Training and Education
Faculty, Tadulako University, under the supervision of Jamiluddin and Afrillia
Anggreni.
The aim of this study is to find out the students? difficulties in writing descriptive
text of MTs Wanamukti Parigi Moutong, central Sulawesi. The researcher used
descriptive qualitative research design. The sample is the ninth grade students? of
MTs Wanamukti. In this research, the researcher used simple random sampling
technique. The instrument of the data collection in this research is document. The
data were analyzed descriptively in order to find out students? difficulties in
writing descriptive text. After analyzing the data, the researcher found that the
students? difficulties in grammar are making nominal sentence, using adjective,
and placing pronoun for antecedent. Related to vocabulary the students?
difficulties are using collective noun and the students? difficulties in mechanics
are using punctuation, capitalization and spelling. Based on the result of the
research, the researcher implies that when the teacher teaches writing, the teacher
should pay more attention to the three components of writing, there are in
grammar, vocabulary, and mechanics because students still difficulties in these
components. Teachers must pay attention to the details of writing difficulties
faced by the students. The difficulties also need to be diisscussed. Another
important thing is that the teachers always need to motivate students to be
enthusiastic in writing.
