ANALISIS KETERSEDIAAN RUANG TERBUKA HIJAU (RTH) KOTA DONGGALA DALAM PEMENUHAN OKSIGEN BAGI AKTIFITAS MASYARAKAT

The development of cities causes changes in the ecological conditions of the urban environment which
results in a decrease in environmental quality. Therefore we need Green Open Space (RTH) which will
improve the quality of the urban environment. Green Open Space is very important for a city because it
has many functions, including natural oxygen producers, water absorbers and aesthetics. Oxygen is a
vital requirement for living things, especially humans and animals. Oxygen is produced from Vegetation,
through the process of Photosynthesis that occurs in plant leaves. This study aims to determine the
availability of Green Open Spaces in Donggala City in fulfilling oxygen for community activities. This
research was conducted from January to March 2023 which is located in Donggala City. This research
was carried out by collecting data in the form of administrative maps of Donggala City, Google Earth
Imagery, RDTR of Donggala City, an area, population, vehicles and livestock. The method used in this
study is an analysis of the need for green open space based on the area and analysis of the need for
green open space based on oxygen demand. Based on the research results, the total oxygen demand for
residents, vehicles and livestock in the Donggala City area in 2021 is 109.699.53 kg/day. Green Open
Space which has Vegetation of 122.33 ha, produces oxygen of 6192.92 kg/day//m2. With an area of
Green Open Space based on oxygen demand of 8.86 kg/day. From the results of research that has been
carried out, the availability of wide open green spaces to fulfill oxygen for the activities of the people of
Donggala City has not been fulfilled.
