ABSTRACT

Patchouli is a tropical shrub that produces a type of essential oil whose leaves are generally used to extract the oil. The relatively good price and ease of cultivation have made farmers intensively plant patchouli. Sioyong village patchouli distillation household industry is one of the industries that produces patchouli into patchouli oil. This research aims to find out how much added value is generated in producing patchouli into patchouli oil. This research was carried out in Sioyong village, Dampelas District from May to July 2023. This research used primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained by observation and direct interviews with respondents, namely leaders of the patchouli refining industry, using a questionnaire, while secondary data was obtained from related agencies and the necessary literature. The analysis used in this research is added value analysis using the hayami method. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the added value obtained was IDR 4,950, the value-added ratio was 0.426%. The patchouli refining industry which produces patchouli oil has added value, this is due to the relatively high price of patchouli oil.
