This study aims to determine and analyze students' perceptions of readiness to face the policy of independent learning at Makale Tana Toraja Catholic High School. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study that describes students' perceptions of learning freedom. The population in this study were all students in class XI MIPA Makale Tana Toraja Catholic High School, amounting to 128 students of Makale Catholic High School and the respondents in the study were 64 students consisting of 20 males and 44 females. The data was collected using a questionnaire consisting of 43 statement items consisting of 5 indicators, namely independent learning, self-regulated learning, managed learning, learning behavior and students' metacognitive abilities. The results of the data analysis obtained are for students in class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 4 the average value of each indicator gets 1 medium mean value and 4 high mean average values, so it can be concluded that the percentage of students' readiness in the school is 90% or very ready to implement the policy of independent learning
