ANALISIS TEMPORAL PERUBAHAN TUTUPAN LAHAN HUTAN MANGROVE KECAMATAN SOJOL KABUPATEN DONGGALA MENGGUNAKAN CITRA LANDSAT 8

Land cover change is such an important information in the forest monitoring management, one of which is the existence of mangrove forests. Changes that occur from a certain period of time need to be known to be used as information in determining management towards more information in determining management towards a better direction. The purpose of this study is to determine the land cover change of mangrove forest from 2017 to 2017. This research was conducted over a period of three months, from March to May 2023 which is located in Sojol District, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. This research used digital image analysis method using guided classification with maximum likelihood classification method, field survey, and overall accuracy and kappa accuracy test. The results showed that the classification of Landsat 8 images classification resulted in 5 land cover classes and each of them experienced changes in area. Of the various types of land cover, primary mangroves experienced a 28,49 Ha reduction, secondary mangrove cover type increased by 7,63 Ha, water body with an additional area of 13,35 Ha. plantations with an increase of 13.33 Ha and ponds with a a reduction in area of 5.82 Ha. Then for the accuracy test accuracy test with overall accuracy was obtained at 88.33% and for kappa accuracy, a value of 85.43% was obtained.Keywords: mangrove, land cover, landsat, changes
