Analysis Kesalahan Simple Past Tense Dalam Menulis Teks Recount Oleh Siswa Kelas Sepuluh SMAN 5 Palu

Writing Recount Text by the Tenth Grade Students of SMAN 5 Palu.The objective of this research is to find out the types of errors made by the tenth
grade students in writing simple past tense of the recount text. This research applied
content analysis. The subjects of this research were grade X MIPA 5, which
consisted of 20 students. The instrument of this research was a written test. After
collecting the data, the researcher analyzed the data by using error analysis. The
results of this research showed that the students made 69 of simple past tense errors
which are classified into: Omission with 13 errors (18.84%), addition with 2 errors
(2.90%), Misformation with 50 errors (72.46%), and the last was misordering with
4 errors (5.80%). Based on the data analysis above, the most of students’ errors was
misformation and the least of students’ errors was addition.
