Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian menggunakan metode Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility (AMS) serta analisis data sekunder hasil uji petrografi dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui derajat anisotropi magnetik dan jenis mineral magnetik pada batuan granit di Kecamatan Dolo Selatan Kabupaten Sigi. Pengukuran suseptibilitas magnetik dilakukan sebanyak 8 arah menggunakan alat Bartington Magnetic Susceptibility Meter sensor MS2. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan parameter anisotropi, diketahui batuan granit di Kecamatan Dolo Selatan memiliki nilai derajat anisotropi yang berada pada rentang 0,23 – 3,35% atau memiliki kecenderungan isotropi. Bentuk bulir magnetik yang dipengaruhi oleh nilai foliasi dan lineasi memperlihatkan kecenderungan berbentuk oblate (pipih) yang direpresentasikan dengan nilai faktor bentuk T = 1. Pola anisotropi suseptibilitas magnetik batuan granit yang dianalisis memperlihatkan keterkaitan dengan struktur geologi di lokasi penelitian, dimana arah sumbu maksimumnya berarah Barat Daya – Timur Laut. Sedangkan, berdasarkan analisis komposisi mineral hasil uji petrografi diketahui bahwa jenis mineral magnetik pada batuan granit terdiri atas mineral ilminite (FeTiO3) dan magnetite (Fe3O4).

Research has been conducted using the Anisotropy of Magnetic Susceptibility (AMS) method and secondary data analysis of petrographic analysis with the aim of determining the degree of magnetic anisotropy and the type of magnetic minerals in granite rocks in South Dolo District, Sigi Regency. Magnetic susceptibility measurements were done in 8 directions using the Bartington Magnetic Susceptibility Meter sensor MS2. According to the calculation of anisotropy parameters, the granite rock in South Dolo District has anisotropy degree value between 0.23 - 3.35% or has an isotropy tendency. The magnetic grain shape which is influenced by the value of foliation and lineation reveals a tendency to be oblate (flat) that is represented by the T = 1 form factor value. The pattern of magnetic susceptibility anisotropy of the analyzed granitic rocks reveals a connection with the geological structure at the research site, where the maximum axis direction is Southwest - Northeast. Meanwhile, according to the analysis of mineral composition from secondary data of petrographic analysis from previous studies, the magnetic mineral types in granite rocks in South Dolo District are magnetite and ilmenite.
