Library Information System is an application development that is used to determine
the transaction process in the library. The transactions that exist in the library
include cataloging, borrowing, returning books. This Library Information System can
handle the process of borrowing and returning books along with calculating fines,
maintaining master data so that it can help manage the collection of books in the
library, the process of searching for books using a catalog and displaying book
reports in the form of graphics. Based on surveys and interviews with librarian,
information was obtained that the length of service for transaction activities and
difficulties in maintaining books were the main obstacles in the library of SMK
Negeri 2 Palu. With the Library Information System, it is hoped that it can help the
work of librarian so that the efficiency and effectiveness of library performance can
be improved and accelerate the service of officers for borrowing and returning book
transactions with the calculation of fines. Keywords: Library Information System,
