Biomass Seresah Pada Tegakan Jati ( Tectona Grandis L.f) Umur 10 Dan 17 Tahun Sindue Tobata Kabupaten Donggala

The potential of land for biomass depends on the type of vegetation that exists in that place
and how the land is managed. The aim of this research was to determine the litter biomass
content in two fields aged 10 and 17 years, so that research was carried out on litter biomass
in teak (Tectona grandis L.f) stands. This research was carried out from April to July 2023 on
two different types of land, namely teak aged 10 and 17 years in Oti Village, Sindue Tobata
District, Donggala Regency. This research began with a location survey. Then litter samples
were taken by making a plot measuring 5 m x 15 m as the main plot, 5 m x 5 m as the second
sub plot and 0.5 m x 0.5 m as the sub plot used to collect litter samples. Observation
parameters were coarse litter biomass, fine litter biomass and total biomass in teak stands
aged 10 and 17 years. The research results showed that the total biomass of 10 year old teak
with the amount of litter was 12.81 tonnes/ha, while 17 year old teak was higher with a total
amount of litter of 15.37 tonnes/ha, the biomass of coarse litter in 10 year old teak stands
amounting to 7.81 tonnes/ha and fine litter 5 tonnes/ha. Meanwhile, coarse litter for teak at
17 years of age was 8.50 tonnes/ha and fine litter for teak stands at 17 years of age was.
