DAYA SAING KOMODITI BAWANG MERAH VARIETAS LEMBAH PALU DI UPT BULUPOUNTU JAYA KECAMATAN SIGI BIROMARU

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the competitiveness ability of Lembah Palu Shallot Variety in UPT Bulupountu Jaya, Sigi Biromaru Sub-District in terms of resources. The determination of respondents was carried out using the simple random sampling method with a total sample size of 31 respondents of Palu valley shallot farmers. The analytical tool used in this research is PAM analysis, which is a matrix that functions to determine the competitiveness of a commodity as well as the impact of government policies on it. The results showed that: The Lembah Palu shallot variety has comparative and competitive advantages as shown by the calculation of the Domestic Cost Ratio (DCR) and the Private Cost Ratio (PCR) i.e. 0.56 and 0.51. Results for Nominal Protection coefficient of output value (NPCO) is 1.08 and Nominal Protection Coeffisients of Input (NPCI) is 1.07 respectively show the government's policies are protective for Lembah Palu shallot variety commodity farmers in the UPT Bulupountu Jaya, while the EPC value of 1.08 indicates the existence of government protection towards Lembah Palu shallot variety Commodity.
