DESKRIPSI PEMBELAJARAN DARING DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR BIOLOGI SISWA SMA NEGERI 2 PALU

This research aims at describing online learning process and motivation in learning biology of the students of SMA Negeri 2 Palu. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Palu, Tanjung Dako Street No. 9, Palu Selatan sub-district, Palu, Central Sulawesi. The research population was all students majoring in science (class X, XI, and XII) registered in the academic year of 2020. The research samples were 211 students, or 25 percent out of 216 number of population, so every class has same number of samples. The samples were taken using simple random sampling technique. The data were collected through online questionnaire and unstructured interview. The results show that (1) Online learning at SMA Negeri 2 Palu using zoom, whatsapp and google classroom. online learning is dominated by aspects of facilities for good learning process, (2) Students’ learning motivation is in the high category with a percentage of 63.42 percent. All categories of students’ learning motivation are dominated by intrinsic motivation.
