EFEKTIVITAS GAME SATU MENIT UNTUK MEMPELAJARI KEMAMPUAN BERBICARA SISWA KELAS X DI SMA NEGERI 1 PALU

Elvira Musdalifah (A12118236). This skripsi untitled "The Effectiveness of
One Minute Game to Teach Speaking Ability of the Tenth Grade Students' at
SMA Negeri I Palu". Shripsi, Teacher Traning and Education Faculty, Language
and Art Education Department, English Education Study Program, under the
supervision of Mukrim (1) and Muhammad Arid (2).
The objective of this research is to find the effectiveness of One Minute
Game to Teach Speaking Ability of the Tenth Grade Students' at SMA Negeri
Palu. This research employed experimental research of pre-experimental design. The
sample of this research was the tenth grade MIPA 3 that consisted of 35 students.
The sample was selected by using purposive sampling. The data was collected by
administering a speaking test conducted before and after the treatment, or pre-test
and post-test. The result of data analysis shows that there is a significant difference
between the result in pre-test and post-test. Students' mean score in pre-test 44.4 and
has improve in post-test become 59.8. By applying 0.05 level significance and 34
degree of freedom (df), it can be seen that the value of the t-counted (12.3) is higher
than the t-table (2.032), which means the hypothesis is accepted. Accordingly, this
study suggests that the use of One Minute Game is effective to develop speaking
ability of grade tenth students at SMA Negeri 1 Palu.
