Efektivitas Media Flashcards Untuk Meningkatkan Penguasaan Kosa Kata Siswa Kelas Tujuh SMP Negeri 2 Toili

Fitri Harianingsih (A12118320). This Skripsi entitled “The Effectiveness of

Flashcards Media to Improve Vocabulary Mastery of the Seventh Grade

Students at SMP Negeri 2 Toili”. English Education Study Program, Language

and Art Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty,Tadulako

University, under the supervision of (1) Ferry Rita and (2) Hastini.

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of using flashcards in

improving the vocabulary of the seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Toili.

The research design was used quantitative research. The researcher used a Total

sampling technique to choose the sample. 42 students were chosen as the sample

in this research. The research collected data using pre-test and post-test. The final

mean scores gained from both class was analyzed by using SPSS 22. Based on the

results of the Paired Sample Statistics table which shows that the average students

score is the same as the post-test results in the experimental class 86.67 higher than

the pre-test 64.76. It is known that sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05, then H0 is

rejected and H1 is accepted. So, there is difference between the pre-test and post-

test, means there is the effect of using flashcards media to improve seventh grade

students’ vocabulary SMP Negeri 2 Toili.
