EVALUASI KEBERHASILAN INSEMINASI BUATAN PADA SAPI POTONG DI KECAMATAN WITAPONDA KABUPATEN MOROWALI

Beef cattle have good potential developed and cultivated. This study aims to evaluate the success rate of Artificial Insemination (IB) through evaluation of the implementation of the IB program in Witaponda District, Morowali Regency. This research was conducted in Witaponda District, Morowali Regency from November to December 2019. The data used is primary data collected by direct survey to the research site, interviews with respondent breeders and inseminator officers, S/C and CR values as research variables. Sampling is done by Simple Random Sampling, which is random data collection and all samples are considered the same, in this study selected all farmers who have applied IB technology. The data collected in the analysis and concluded descriptively. The results of this study showed that the S/C value of Balinese cows in 2017 and 2018 was 1.66 and 1.61, in Simmental in 2017 and 2018 of 1.00 and PO in 2017 was 1.54. CR figures in Balinese cows in 2017 and 2018 were 61.11% and 64.10%, in Simmental in 2017 and 2018 was 100.00%, and po in 2017 was 54.50%.
