FAKTOR PENYEBAB RENDAHNYA TINGKAT PENDIDIKAN DI DESA OGOBAYAS KECAMATAN MEPANGA

This study aims to identify (1) what factors cause a low level of education in Ogobayas Village, Mepanga District. The subjects in this study were 5 dropped- out children, 5 informants who were parents of dropped-out children, and 1 head of the village. This research is qualitative descriptive research that determines the sample through the purposive sampling technique. The techniques of data collection were observation, interviews, documentation, and the collected data were analyzed using 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that two factors are causing the low level of education in Ogobayas Village, Mepanga District; they are internal and external factors. Internal factors include the lack of motivation for children to go to school. Meanwhile, external factors include early marriage among adolescents, family economic factors, environmental conditions in which children live, and people's perspectives on education.
