Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Ketidakpatuhan Minum Obat Praziquantel Di Kecamatan Lore Utara Kabupaten Poso

Schistosomiasis is a parasitic disease caused by a worm infection belonging to the Schistosoma genus. Schistosoma japonicum is considered the most dangerous worm compared to other schistosomes. In the treatment of Schistosomiasis uses Praziquantel, the coverage of Praziquantel mass prevention medicine in Poso District in 2019 was 85.95% which has not reached the target of 100%. Meanwhile, in Sedoa Village it was 93% and Banyusari 92%. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors affecting non-compliance in taking Praziquantel in North Lore Sub District, Poso District. This research was quantitative type and a cross-sectional approach. The sample was taken based on stratified random sampling and a total of 219 people, 132 people were in Sedoa Village and 87 people were in Banyusari Village, including univariate and bivariate analysis using the regression test. The results show that there is an influence between attitudes (p = 0.000), actions (p = 0.000), effects (p = 0.000), information by health workers (p = 0.003), and there was no relationship on knowledge (p = 0.482). It is advisable for the people to better obey the directions of health workers in taking praziquantel when there is the mass treatment of Schistosomiasis, and health workers should also provide counseling regarding Schistosomiasis and Praziquantel out of the schedule of mass preventive medicine administration so that the people is more understand and compliant.
