In general, the cause of work accidents is human actions or deedsthat do not comply
with safety principles. One of them is the behavior of using Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) where this behavior really needs to be considered because every
worker in a place or company should use complete PPE in order to be protected
from disturbances while working, the risk of danger faced by workers. The purpose
of this study was to determine the Behavior on Using Personal Protective
Equipment (PPE) in Workers at PT. PP. Urban - PT. Mki Kso on Rehabilitation and
Reconstruction Project for Tadulako University. Type of the research was
qualitative research with a case study method. The informants numbered 10 people
consisting of 7 people, namely craftsmen, 1 key informant, namely HSE, and 2
additional informants, namely warehouse guards. The results show that workers
know the types of Personal Protective Equipment and their functions but are not
consistent in using Personal Protective Equipment. Workers have good knowledge
and attitudes but have less good actions because they are not consistent in using
Personal Protective Equipment in the workplace. For Field Workers, it is expected
that workers will use complete Personal Protective Equipment every time they work
so that they can be protected from diseases and work accidents and feel safe every
time they work.
