Hubungan Antara Kebiasaan Siswa Dalam Mendengarkan Lagu Bahasa Inggris Dan Keterampilan Mendengarkan Siswa Kelas IX SMA Negeri 6 Sigi

The purpose of this research is to find out if there is any correlation between students’ habits in listening English songs and their listening skill of the eleventh-grade students of SMA Negeri 6 Sigi. A correlational research design was used in this quantitative-research. The researcher used a simple random sampling technique to choose the sample. 32 students were chosen as the sample in this research. The researcher collected data using questionnaire and tests. The Pearson Product Moment result of both instrument data analysis the rxy was 0.567. The Category was moderate. The value of rtable was 0.349. According to the data, rxy is higher than rtable. It can be concluded that alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. This indicates that there is a correlation between students’ habit in listening English songs and their listening skill of the eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 6 Sigi.
