HUBUNGAN ANTARA PEMAHAMAN MEMBACA DAN KECEPATAN MEMBACA SISWA KELAS X DI SMAN 5 PALU

The aim of this research is to find out if there is any positive correlation between reading comprehension and speed reading of the tenth grade students of SMAN 5 Palu. This research used correlational research design. The sample of this research was the tenth IPA 2 consisting of 30 students. The researcher used purposive sampling technique. The researcher used reading test and multiple-choice test as the instruments. The techniques of data analysis used Pearson Product Moment. The result of this research showed that the students reading comprehension lower than students speed reading. It means Ho is accepted and Ha is rejecte d. It means that there is no positive correlation between reading comprehension and speed reading of the tenth students of SMAN 5 Palu.
