Hubungan Sosial Ekonomi Dan Konsumsi Pangan Pada Balita Underweight Pada Etnis Lauje Di Kabupaten Parigi Moutong

The Lauje ethnic group is a tribal community located in Tinombo sub-
district and Tomini bay, Parigi Moutong District, Central Sulawesi Province,
Indonesia. Because many still use the concept of nomadic life and live in remote
places, or in the middle of the forest, in addition to moving, the parent's
understanding of education also plays a role. Socioeconomic status consists of
three main components that are interrelated with each other, namely the level of
parental education, parental employment status, and family income. Underweight
is a condition where the child's weight is below normal. Underweight can not only
occur in children, but also in adults. In children, namely if the Z-score ? -3.0 SD
to <-2.0 SD. This study aims to analyze the relationship between household
characteristics and toddler eating habits with the nutritional status of toddlers in
the Lauje ethnic group in Tinombo Sub-District, Parigi Moutong District. This
study applied analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The
analysis technique used the Somers`d test. Data collection was carried out using
questionnaires and anthropometric measurements. The results of the study
showed that there was a relationship between father's education (p-Value 0.01),
mother's education (p-Value 0.00) and mother's occupation with toddler's
nutritional status (p-Value 0.04), and there was no relationship between family
size (p-Value 0.90), father's occupation (p-Value 0.31), energy adequacy level (p-
Value 0.30), protein adequacy level (p-Value 0.51) with toddler's nutritional
status
