Abstract

Research entitled identification of subsurface rock layers in geothermal areas was carried out in Kadidia Village with the aim of determining the composition of subsurface rock layers and their magnetic susceptibility values. This research uses primary data in the form of a geomagnetic survey and secondary data in the form of drilled well data conducted by previous research. The data obtained is then corrected to obtain the total magnetic field anomaly intensity. Next, the data is subjected to a filtering process, namely an upward continuation filter and then subtracted by the total magnetic field anomaly which produces residual magnetic field anomaly intensity data. Then, subsurface interpretation was carried out using the forward modeling method using the GM-SYS program and obtained results in the form of granite rocks in the south with a magnetic susceptibility value of 0.0001 (SI), conglomerate layers in the north with a value of 0.0005 – 0.0034 ( SI), sandstone close to the surface with a value of 0.0092 – 0.013 (SI) and the alluvial layer on the surface which has a value of 0.000025 – 0.00004 (SI).
