IDENTIFIKASI NILAI KUAT TEKAN BATUAN PADA TAMBANH DAERAH POBOYA MENGGUNAKAN METODE POINT LOAD INDEKS

ABSTRAK
Uji point load dilakukan pada contoh inti bor pada batuan samping dan tubuh bijih. Batuan tersebut
meliputi monzonite, gneis, sekis, dan vein. Batuan-batuan samping tersebut mengalami ubahan/alterasi akibat
proses hidrotermal. Alterasi yang dijumpai yakni kaolin-illit, smektit, klorit, albit-klorit, epidot-klorit,
silisifikasi dan vein. Uji point load ini dilakukan terhadap 125 contoh yang dapat mewakili alterasi yang terjadi
di Poboya. Contoh yang diuji berbentuk setengah silinder (half core) sehingga memerlukan koreksi untuk
mendapatkan nilai Is50. Hasil uji point load memperlihatkan perbedaan nilai dari batuan yang sama tapi memiliki
perbedaan tipe alterasi. Alterasi batuan mempengaruhi dari pada kekerasan dan kekuatan batuan karena
terjadinya perubahan mineral asal penyusun batuan.

ABSTRACT
Load test points were conducted on drill rock samples in the side rocks and ore body. The rocks include
monzonite, gneiss, schist and vein. These side rocks are altered by hydrothermal processes. Alterations found
are kaolinite-illite, smectite, chlorite, albite-chlorite, epidote-chlorite, silicification and vein. The point load
test was conducted on 125 rock samples that can represent the alteration that occurs in Poboya. The test
samples were in the form of half-cylinders (half cores) and thus required correction to obtain the Is50 value.
The point load test results show different values of the same rock but with different alteration. Rock alteration
affects the hardness and strength of the rock due to changes in the minerals that make up the rock.
