This study aims to determine and to analyse the effect of the implementation of New Public Management toward public sector managerial performancethrough the Good Governanceprinciples in the Regional Government of Gorontalo City. The approach used in this study was quantitative. The numbers of samples in this study are 268 samples. Data analysis used was descriptive and inferential (SEM PLS). The results of this study indicate that (1) the implementation of New Public Management (NPM) has a positive and significant effect on the principles of Good Governance in the Regional Government of Gorontalo City. (2) The implementation of the New Public Management (NPM) has a positive and significant effect on the managerial performance of the public sector in the Regional Government of Gorontalo City. (3) The principles of good governance have a positive and significant effect on the managerial performance of the public sector in the Regional Government of Gorontalo City. (4) The implementation of New Public Management (NPM) through the principles of good governance has a positive and significant effect on the managerial performance of the public sector in the Regional Government of Gorontalo City. Furthermore (5) The descriptive results found that the variable implementation of New Public Management (NPM) has an expectation score of 84.79% (high category) with performance achievements on the implementation of New Public Management (NPM) of 77.47% (good category). Expectation score of 83.64% (high category) with performance achievement on the principle of Good Governance of 79.00% (good category).Managerial performance variables in the public sector have an expectation score of 82.83% (high category) with performance achievement on performance public sector managerial of 79.14% (good category).
