Abstract

This research is expected to provide results and discussion of the zoning of tectonic activity levels in the Ompo sub-watershed, Salubi sub-watershed, Sambo sub-watershed and Bambanua sub-watershed. The research was conducted to determine the zoning level of tectonic activity. Data extraction was obtained from the DEMNAS image. Data analysis included morphological analysis, watershed morphometric analysis and morphotectonic analysis. Morphological characters in the study area describe plains, hills, mountains and V-shaped valleys and drainage patterns that develop, namely subparallel and rectangular. The morphometric characters of the watershed in the study area show the shape of the watershed in the form of bird feathers, parallel and complex, the index value of the ratio of river branches (Rb) in the Ompo sub-watershed, Salubi sub-watershed, Sambo sub-watershed and Bambamua sub-watershed indicate that it has undergone changes due to tectonic activity. Based on the combination of these parameter values, the tectonic activity index (IAT) value in the study area consists of zoning levels of tectonic activity divided into 2 classes, namely the high tectonic activity class and the Medium/medium tectonic activity class. High tectonic activity class in the Ompo sub-watershed, Salubi sub-watershed, Sambo sub-watershed and moderate/medium tectonic activity class in the Sambo sub-watershed area. As a result of the tectonic activity in the area, it forms the character of the alluvial fan landscape. In the alluvial fan landscape area in the Ompo sub-watershed, Salubi sub-watershed, Sambo sub-watershed and Bambanua sub-watershed are composed of sand deposits, granite boulders and conglomerate deposits composed of schist and philite fragments.
