Karakteristik Sifat Kualitatif Sapi Bali Di Kecamatan Sindue Kabupaten Donggala

The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of qualitative characteristics of Bali cattle in Sindue District, Donggala Regency. Bali cattle are beef cattle domesticated from wild bulls and are potential nuftah plasma for development. One characteristic trait that is rarely observed in livestock is qualitative traits. This study aims to determine the diversity of qualitative characteristics of Bali cattle in Sindue District, Donggala Regency. This research was conducted from September 26 to October 26 2022. The research materials used were Bali calves, heifers and adults. The research sample used was 252 tails. The results showed that the characteristics of brick red hair color in female Bali cattle were more dominant while adult male Bali cattle were dominantly black. Characteristics of sock color in Balinese cattle are predominantly white with borders. Characteristic thick dorsal line. The characteristic shape of the horns on the dominant female Bali cattle is curved backwards while the dominant male Bali cattle is curved upwards. The characteristics of the rump mirror in female Bali cattle are dominantly white, while in male Bali cattle, the dominance is clear white. The dominant muzzle color characteristic is black. The qualitative characteristics of Bali cattle in Sindue District, Donggala Regency have various characteristics. It is advisable to carry out further research in order to know the development of the qualitative characteristics of Bali cattle.
