Macroscopic fungal groups significantly influence forest food webs, survival or germination of tree
saplings, tree growth, and overall forest health. Thus, the presence of macroscopic fungi is an important
indicator of dynamic forest communities. The aim of this research is to determine the types of
macroscopic fungi, the environmental conditions that influence them, such as where they grow,
temperature, humidity, location and soil pH, which are found in Primary and Secondary Forests in the
Morowali Nature Reserve Area, North Morowali Regency. This research was carried out from April to
July 2023, in Primary and Secondary Forests in the Morowali Nature Reserve Area, Tokonanaka
Village, North Morowali Regency. This research began with a location survey, then plots were placed
in each primary and secondary forest, 5 plots were made with a size of 20 x 20 m2 with a distance
between plots of 200 m, then an inventory was carried out to observe the types of mushrooms that grew.
All types of mushrooms documented and identified and described according to morphological
characteristics, the climatic environmental conditions at the location are also measured. The
parameters used in this research are types of macroscopic fungi, environmental factors and species
diversity index. The results of this research were that the number of species found was 47 species,
consisting of 11 orders of Agaricales, 2 orders of Polypolares and other orders such as Cantharellales,
Auricaculiares, Ressulales, Hymenochaeteles, Darcymycetales and Pezizales. With 31 species found in
primary forests and 43 species in secondary forests. Then, the results of observations of environmental
conditions carried out in Primary and Secondary Forests in the Morowali Nature Reserve Area include,
among other things, air temperature in primary forests ranges between 25-29 0C, humidity ranges
between 74%-82% and soil pH ranges between 4.5- 5.5. Meanwhile, for secondary forests, air
temperature ranges between 26-29 0C, humidity ranges between 72%-82% and soil pH ranges between
4.5-5.5.
