The problem in this research is how to write the exposition text of grade VIII B
students of SMP Negeri 1 Sindue Tobata ?. The purpose of this study was to
describe the ability to write exposition text for grade VIII B students at SMP
Negeri 1 Sindue Tobata. This type of research is descriptive with data collection
methods, namely the provision of tests or evaluations. After the data has been
collected, data management is done from the results of the student evaluation
tests. calculation of the value of individual completeness and classical
completeness.
Based on the results of research data processing and minimum completeness
criteria (KKM) in SMP Negeri 1 Sindata Tobata in Indonesian subjects that is 75.
The results of this study have obtained the average ability of students of class VIII
B of SMP Negeri 1 Sindue Tobata in writing exposition text which is 79.2. So it
can be concluded that students of class VIII B of SMP Negeri 1 Sindue Tobata
have been able to classically write exposition texts and the hypothesis in this study
that says that students of class VIII B of SMP Negeri 1 Sindue Tobata have been
able to write exposition texts otherwise accepted.
