Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTs As’adiyah Tolai. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII B MTs As’adiyah Tolai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks prosedur siswa kelas VII B MTs As’adiyah Tolai. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes esai dalam menulis teks prosedur. Data kemampuan siswa yang diperoleh diolah dengan menggunakan rumus: M =
Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data penelitian dan kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM) di kelas VII B MTs As’adiyah Tolai pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yaitu 75. Hasil dari penelitian ini telah diperoleh nilai rata-rata siswa dalam menulis teks prosedur yaitu 69,58. Sehingga peneliti dapat mengambil kesimpulan bahwa siswa kelas VII B MTs As’adiyah Tolai belum mampu menulis teks prosedur.

This research took place at MTs As’adiyah Tolai. The problem in this research is how is the ability of grade VII B students of MTs As’adiyah Tolai in writing procedur texts. Based on the results of research data processing and maximal completeness criteria in class VII B MTs As’adiyah Tolai, Indonesia Language subject is 75. The results of this research have obtained the average value of students’ ability in writing procedure texts that is 69,58. So that the researcher can conclude that students of class VII B MTs As’adiyah Tolai have not been able to write procedure texts.
