Using qualitative research methods, the research problem of what are the forms, functions, and strategies of expressive speech acts within the scope of politeness is solved. According to the research findings, the following forms of expressive speech are used by teenagers in Oti Village: a) thank you, indicated by the words makasih ee, makasih mo, and makasih mo; and b) apologies, indicated by the words maaf ee, maaf. b) Congratulations, denoted by the phrase selamat ee. c) praise is denoted by the phrases bagus and nagaya, d) apology is denoted by the words maaf ee and maaf, and e) criticism is denoted by the word jangan. This research discovered the following expressive speech functions: a) thanking, b) congratulating, c) complementing, d) apologizing, and e) criticizing. In addition, the tactics employed in this study are direct and indirect politeness strategies. The data collection techniques were observation, listening, recording, and note-taking. Researchers applied data analysis approaches based on the Miles and Huberman concept, such as reducing data, presenting data, interpreting data meaning, and making conclusions.
