Kondisi Fisik Tanah Pada Areal Bekas Tambang Emas Di Desa Malomba Kecamatan Dondo Kabupaten Toli Toli

Soil is a natural resource that cannot be easily replaced. If the soil is degraded or damaged, it will be
difficult to renew because it requires a long recovery time. It is necessary to pay attention to the
physical properties of the soil and know its characteristics to protect the soil, especially from damage
that might occur when the soil is used. The aim of this research is to determine the physical condition
of the soil in the former gold mining area in Malomba Village, Dondo District, Toli-Toli Regency.
This research was carried out for 2 months. Starting from May to July. Soil sampling was carried out
in Malomba Village, Dondo District, Toli-Toli Regency. The method used was a survey method,
sampling was carried out purposively (intentionally) at three slope points, namely: Peak, Ridge and
Valley. The parameters observed are, Texture, Permeability, Bulk Density, Porosity and C-Organic.
The results of this research show that the physical condition of the soil texture at the research site has
various texture classes, peaks 22.4%, ridges 9.7%, valleys 2.3%. Permeability at the peak is 0.13
cm/hour, the back is 3.28 cm/hour, the valley is 0.19 cm/hour. Bulk density with a peak percentage of
1.54 gr/cm3, back 1.55 gr/cm3, valley 1.46 gr/cm3. Porosity with a peak percentage of 41.90%, back
44.98%, 41.46% while valleys with a percentage of 41.46%. in C-Organic, namely at the peak 2.03%,
back 1.37%, for the valley 0.66%.
