Korelasi Antara Penguasaan Kosakata Dan Keterampilan Berbicara Mahasiswa EFL Di Universitas Tadulako

This research aimed to find out whether there was a significant correlation between
vocabulary mastery and speaking skill of EFL students at Tadulako University. This
research used a correlational research design. This research was conducted at
Tadulako University. The population of this research was the students’ English
department of Tadulako University in the academic year 2021/2022 and used 25
students as the sample, taken using a simple random sampling technique. The
instruments used were a vocabulary test and a speaking test. The students worked
on the tests of vocabulary and speaking to get data of relationship. Then, to find out
the correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking skill, the researcher used
SPSS. The result of SPSS is 0.565 with a level significance ???? 5% = 0.396. It ????????????????????
means that the directional hypothesis is accepted because the result of the ???? is ????????????????????
higher than the ???? (0.565 > 0.396). The result of the ???? indicates that there is ???????????????????? ????????????????????
a positive correlation between vocabulary mastery and speaking skill of EFL students at Tadulako University with a moderate correlation.
