Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of using POW+TREE strategy on writing skills of the third semester students of English Education program at Tadulako University on analytical exposition text. This is a pre-experimental study that involves 20 research participants selected purposively from 270 students academic year 2021/2022 who enrolled in Text Type Writing course. The result of data analysis showed that the research hypothesis is accepted since the t-counted value of 20.16 is higher than the t-table value of 1.792. In other words, using POW+TREE strategy is effective in improving the sampled students’ writing skills on analytical exposition text.
